Magazine Stowage on Southwest Airlines
Do you know that on Southwest Airlines planes there is a place where you can find free magazines to read? I’m not talking about Southwest’s SPIRIT magazine (which I love reading), or Sky Mall. No, I’m talking about magazines like TIME, Us, People, etc.
Don’t believe me?
Head to the back of the aircraft and in the last overhead storage bin there is a compartment called “Magazine Stowage”.

I’m not entirely sure where these magazines come from. They can be from passengers, flight attendants or the magazine fairy. Now, not all flights will have magazines in the bin. So that’s where you come in!
Say you have some magazines you’ve read and are just going to throw away. Don’t toss them! Just cut out your name and address on the front of the cover and on your next Southwest Airlines flight, drop them off in the magazine stowage bin.
Not only are you being green by recycling, but you are providing some extra reading material for your fellow fliers!
